Beating Wings looks progressive.

A filly that has not taken a step wrong. BEATING WINGS has done everything correct so far in her career. Her first run, when certainly needing it for the experience showed she had some potential when running on beautifully for an eye-catching 3rd.

Since then the Rafeef 3-year old has had two impressive wins, making it 2 from 3. This win showed some merit and proved she has some potential! It's never easy to step straight out of the maidens and into a handicap with some other hard knocking fillies that have a lot more experience.

The filly's inexperience showed when she seemed to be a little flat footed and green towards the business end of the race, but when she saw some competition around her and found her footing, she accelerated very well and Calvin Habib aboard was able to guide her through to the line and win going away to win by just under a length (0.75L).

As Calvin mentioned in the post race interview, he also believed it was a win full of merit based on the step back in distance even though she is looking for a lot further. This brings hope to the stable and connections that she is going to be an exciting prospect to follow.
