SEA WAYS pulls off a very gutsy Hat-Trick!

A few hundred metres into the race, it looked like it was going to be a very tough task for SEA WAYS to claim an elusive Hat-Trick, as he was well out of his ground and at the back of the field. However, the progressive 3-year-old showed that he was not giving up without a fight and showed a great turn of foot to work his way down the inside rail and get up on the line.

It seems like it has become a great partnership between this gelding and Diego De Gouveia, who has ridden him on all 4 victories and needs to be commended with some good rides which have got the horse this far.

As much as the son of Ashaawes is progressing, he is also climbing in the ratings, so things will start to get tougher for him. He has shown that he has guts and heart though and will be sure to try and stay competitive with his runs to come and should continue to mature as a 4-year-old.

Owner, Mr Willem Ackerman was able to celebrate and continue his good form. The stable continues to appreciate all the support that the Ackerman family gives the stable and long may the success continue.

With the season almost over, the yard has had 29 winners from just 206 runners, which is an exceptional strike rate of 14% (winners to runners). This goes hand-in-hand with a brilliant place percentage of 53% throughout the season so far. With just under a month to go, the stable will be hoping to end it off with a few more winners!
