Lemon Delight franks the form!

LEMON DELIGHT, who recently located from the Western Cape notched up her first victory in Gauteng and winning very convincingly in fine style!

The 4-year-old filly was only having her second run for the stable. Her first run after a 4 month break was very promising when she finished 3rd behind the latest runner-up in the Summer Cup. This meant that she had the for behind her and was going to be tough to beat. The only question mark that the stable had was whether she would have been best suited to the 1600m. The question was answered when she showed some great turn of foot and won the race by 3,75 lengths.

There is no doubt that the filly has some class about her. Her arrival in Gauteng came with some of the best Western Cape form, finishing just off the top colts and fillies in Graded races. The time off and change of scenery may have just been what the Flower Ally filly needed, who have also been known to get better with age.

With the thanks to a new partnership and group of owners, the stable may have another filly to look forward to in the next couple of months. A very big congratulations to all involved Messrs M F Bass & A C Rhodes & Mr A & Mrs E Stokes. A group of owners who enjoy their racing and love their horses! The stable appreciates all the support.

The stable have only had 82 runners in the season thus far, but are happy with the excellent win/place percentage and sitting just off the top 20 in the country to date. With some nice up and comers in the months to come, the stable hopes the high strike rates and stats may continue.

Thanks to the sponsor once again for their support - HOLLYWOODBETS.
