Gutsy win for Castletown!

An exciting win for CASTLETOWN, a 3-year-old that has always shown he is well above average has made it back into the winners circle.

All connections and perhaps Castletown himself had just put the unfortunate events of his last race behind them and looked forward to make it up with a gutsy win. Now a 3 time winner from his 9 starts. Many of these starts have involved running with some of the top 3-year-olds in the country and never disgraced in any of those runs. The very well bred son of Silvano perhaps is just in need of some more time to mature. Some Silvanos' are like a fine red wine and better with age. This might be Castletown's path and he is probably going to be a very strong and progressive 4-year-old.

It is going to be interesting and exciting to see how he moves through the divisions. The fact that he has also been giving the time to mature has a lot to do with wonderful and patient owners that allow for this to happen. A great group of partners that love their horses and enjoy their racing. A very big well done to all involved, Messrs M J Campbell, W D Jackson, T Kung, R H Mordt & C C Valjalo, a few of which were at the course to share in the accolades. The Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein gelding was not a cheap purchase but the partnership put the money down and can hopefully continue to reap the rewards and enjoy the races to come.

The stable has been working hard to keep a very consistent win/place percentage and hoping to push the way all the way to the end of the season. With a relatively young string it will be exciting for all involved to see some of the newbies and youngsters make their way to the course and hopefully contribute to the exceptional percentages.

Another big thank you for the support of the sponsor - HOLLYWOODBETS
