Captain Peg remains unbeaten!

CAPTAIN PEG rose to the occasion at Turffontein by winning a hat-trick of races and remains unbeaten in her career to date!

The lightly raced 3-year-old filly was odds on favourite, a banker for most punters and most of the rage on course. She was stepping into the handicaps for the first time which is sometimes a challenge but the stable were very confident that she would win and keep her perfect record!

The Jay Peg filly had the race fold out just right for her with a decent position on the fence and a good pace to pull her through. When the field came into the straight, regular pilot, Diego De Gouveia had a clear passage down the inside and quickened up very well. She hit the front and it was evident that the field were not going to catch her. The only other filly in the field that was on the chase was stable companion, Princess Philippa and gave the stable a 1-2 finish in the race. Another consistent filly that is sure to notch up another victory soon.

CAPTAIN PEG is clearly above average and it is exciting for all connections to see how her career will continue to progress and all in good time. A great group of owners, majority of which are always on course to watch their filly run are enjoying every moment of the filly's career and show that their is still a lot of passion amongst owners. Well done to all the owners - Mr J T Mushwana, V Naidoo, W H Yip, Craig Chetty, Paul Marks & R Pettigrew.

The win and places on the stable contributed to the great win/place percantage that the stable holds since the new season began 6 weeks ago an read as follows:

Runs: 30

Wins: 10 (33%)

Places: 16 (87%)
