An exciting Stable double!

The day at Turffontein started off with the infamous CASTLE CORNER, a gelding that just does not seem to want to win. However, the owners involved have had the 3 -year-old earn them stakes from seven 2nd's and three 3rd's. So Castle Corner should have his day soon enough, as of right now he his keeping his connections involved and always giving them a run for their money.

A bit later on in the day Diego De Gouviea steered SEA WAYS to a comfortable win and a bounce back to form. The gelding has now had 2 wins from 10 runs. He seemed to have battled a bit after his maiden win, but even though he did not run into the money, he was generally not far off the winners. Obviously great to see him bounce back, especially for the Ackerman family who have invested a lot into the yard, a big congratulations. If Sea Ways rating can remain reasonable and he finds the right type of races, he should continue to earn and provide the connections with some enjoyment.

The day ended off in the lucky last when GALAXY RAIDERS notch up her 2nd win from just 4 starts. Her post maiden run was slightly disappointing, although she was only 7 lengths off the winner. However the yard were expecting a much better run this time around and she bounced back to win a good race by 1,00 length. It was a well timed ride by Diego, both filly and jockey seem to work well together. The Act Of War filly should still have more to come and owners, Mr Snyman and Wittstock could find themselves in front of the camera again. Mr Wittstock was on course to lead his winner in, well done to all involved.

The yard are still happy with the promising win/place percentage that has been maintained throughout the season and are in the hopes that it may continue, hopefully with some more feature winners in the mix. A great team effort at the yard.
