A Master of consistency!

IMPERIAL MASTER, a stable favourite for his model of consistency, was able to notch up his 3rd career win at the Vaal on Thursday.

The brave and game 4-year-old always finds himself in very open and competitive races, and this one was no different with many horses in with a shout. What he always has in his favour is the will to always put in his best efforts when going racing and this win could be seen as the most deserved horse to win in the race. The son of Mater Of My Fate was having his 18th career start, with an unbelievable strike where 17 of the 18 starts has earned him a cheque!

It was a very well timed ride from apprentice Philasande Mxoli who gets on well with the the gutsy gelding. He rode to instructions by coming off the pace, and in this case he was actually last when turning into the straight... but young Philasande has become accustomed to the running style and knew to get him moving early and into his stride. When looming up to the front pack, both jockey and horse put in their gutsy and strong efforts and stayed on well to win by 0,25 lengths. If his handicap remains fair after the win, he should continue to remain competitive.

Owners, Mr I Snyman, R Pettigrew & C Narayansami had the pleasure once again of celebrating another good run. Imperial Master may not being going to Hollywood, but he is the type of horse which is a pleasure to own and the partnership are sure to continue the enjoyment throughout the horses career. The stable always appreciates the support and patience.
