A great double for the day!

It was a good day for the stable, kicking off with a winner in the first race, and ending it off in the lucky last!

The stable were very confident in the first race with PRAIRIE FALCON who was having his third run, and with the natural progression, was the one to beat. He found himself well placed in the race under the hands of Diego de Gouveia and when he was asked the question, there were little doubts that he would not be winning. She is a well bred daughter by Gimmethegreenlight and a dam line that would suggest further would be even more to her liking. Now that she is out the maidens, she will run again as a 3-year-old and will be nice to see how her career progresses. Well done to long time patron of the stable, Mr Terry Kung.

Equally as impressive in the same race was the stable's first timer NICE MOVE, who had always shown some good work at home, but was going to be in need of the run and experience. She ran on powerfully at the finish and there is no doubt that she will be in the winners box soon.

It was then onto the lucky last with the ultra consistent CASTLE CORNER. This gelding had been so consistent, and somewhat costly to follow in his maiden ranks, where he had run a total of seven 2nd's before finally winning his maiden. This was his first step out of the maiden ranks and although the stable has always thought he has some ability, it was difficult to know how he would perform. He had a great draw, got positioned perfectly, was sent at the right time by Diego, and did everything he was asked to end up winning by half a length, a win full of merit. Well done to the owners involved, Mr Mike Wittstock, Morgan Brown and Fitzsimons who has had fun with this Ideal World gelding since day one. He may be getting better with age and could have some more wins left in the tank.

It was a good day for the stable as the season nears to an end and hopefully the good run may continue.
