Vars Vicky makes it look too easy!

What a weekend for Mr Vicky Veeramootoo! Grade 1 success was achieved for him on Gold Cup day when his filly won the Champions Stakes, well done to him and the connections.

Diego de Gouveia, decided that one winner was not enough for the weekend and made sure he added the cherry on top when steering VARS VICKY to an easy victory. The 3-year-old gelding by Var was bred at the Gary Player Stud, well done to the stud.

He has won two out of his three races, which could have been a hat trick, if only his inexperience had not caught him out on debut. He certainly made up for it with his last two wins

in style. He still seems to be a bit green and immature, but as Diego said, "when the penny drops properly on him, you will see a proper racehorse". It is very exciting for the yard to have another promising 3-year-old for the season ahead. He will be taking it one race at a time and can hopefully continue to improve and show his worth.
