Promising prospects to follow.

July 22, 2020

EXPRESSFROMTHEUS, a 3-year-old gelding by What A winter has always been an improving sort and was able to notch up his second victory yesterday at the Vaal in an easy fashion. It was a very good and well timed ride by an up and coming  apprentice, Cole Dicken. He positioned the horse perfectly up the long Vaal straight, waited for the right time and gap, and when asked the question, it was just a matter of how far!

The lightly raced gelding is still taking his time to develop and improve, but is doing so with every run and will be exciting to see what the new season has to offer for him.  A very big congratulations to Mr Clive Barnard who owns and bred this horse at Rooispruit Stud. There is still a lot more to come and will be exciting to see how he continues to progress.

On the day the stable also had a promising first timer by the name of VARS VICKY,  who has always shown that he is well above average. He was able to bring some of his work to the course, but there is so much more to come and with the experience under his belt, he should improve many lengths from that run. This makes him an exciting prospect for the future and the stable will be looking forward to taking on the likes of the Fortune stable's horse again, showing them and the public exactly how good the young Var gelding is and how he improves with experience.

Another thank you to the sponsor - HOLLYWOODBETS.
