Tulip Tree begins to flourish!
TULIP TREE has shown nothing but consistency and has proven that she is an above average filly and one for everyone's notebooks.
With each run and due to her model of consistency the What A winter filly has been stepping up in the ratings and taking on stronger fields, but still performing and in this case, winning with ease! This latest win on Thursday, now makes her a three time winner from just 8 starts, along with a bunch of solid placings.
It was Diego de Gouveia's first time aboard the filly. Settled the filly well off the pace, last in fact and looked like she had it all to do when the questions were asked. Down the long Vaal straight, she was allowed to continue to build up some good momentum. Diego slowly began to guide the filly up the field, switched her out when the time was right and she showed an excellent turn of foot. Once she had hit the front there was no catching her, the winning margin was 1,75 lengths but it was a much more impressive win than the margin suggested.
The lightly raced 3-year-old filly has now won over three distances and with her mentioned turn of foot, she seems to be quite versatile and shows the signs of a very progressive sort. Based on her performances she will continue to climb in the ratings and will be interesting to see how she progresses further when the opposition gets tougher. The stable's hope are that she will rise to the occasion.
It is another winner for the Ackerman family silks and as always, a pleasure for the stable to train for family and hope that the reign of winners continue! A big well done and congratulations!
