Quiet rebellion makes some noise!

QUIET REBELLION added to the success on the day to join her Stablemate Duenna who had won earlier, giving the stable a winning double!

The 4-year-old filly added to her winning tally, making her a 3 time winner. Amongst all of her career starts, there have been many places and seldom comes to the course without earning a cheque.

Coming into the race, the Silvano filly had definite each way chances. The typical fields she competed in the past seemed a lot stronger which highlighted her as the one of the best value bets in the race. Despite giving the whole field weight, she was able to dig down deep and mow the field down in the closing stages.

It was Diego De Gouveia's first time aboard the filly. With a field of 8 runners, Diego opted to allow the filly to slot in behind the field, where she is usually most comfortable. With a somewhat ridiculously fast pace, this played into Diego's hands perfectly to sit at the back of the field and wait for the rest of the runners to fade out, and along with a good turn of foot the filly found herself right in contention. Coming to the outside of the field she continued to make up ground all the way along the straight and powered home to win going away. The winning margin was 0,90 lengths and extending.

As most Silvano progeny do, hopefully Quiet Rebellion can continue to improve with age and if handicapped correctly, she should stay competitive in this division and notch up another few wins.

Congratulation to the Ackerman family on another winner. Willem Ackerman was not at the course but was sure to be watching the race. The Ackerman family silks have had a great season to date and long may it continue, the success is well deserved and the support for the stable is always appreciated.
