Miss Shaivi, a maiden no more!

Miss Shaivi traveled from the Highveld to Hollywoodbets Greyville with one goal: to win. The stable had strong confidence in her ability to serve as a valuable banker in the first leg of the Pick 6, which included notable feature races on the day and an opening to the KZN feature season.

The juvenile arrived at Hollywoodbets Greyville with a strong and consistent performance record from the Highveld. The combination of an advantageous pole position draw and the expertise of top-class jockey Richard Fourie instilled confidence in the stable. Right from the start, everything fell into place perfectly for the What A Winter filly. Fourie positioned her skillfully in the middle of the pack, hugging the inside rail while maintaining a good pace. As they approached the final straight, Fourie maneuvered her to out for a clear run. Although it initially seemed like she would surge ahead by a significant margin, she had to dig down and ultimately claimed victory by a narrow margin of 0.50 lengths.

Despite the slim margin of victory, it was evident that the filly experienced some unease, akin to "stage fright," upon witnessing the bustling atmosphere on the course. Fourie further noted that she appeared to have plenty left in the tank, indicating that her performance held merit and should be acknowledged.

The victory held an exceptional significance as one of the owners, Mr. Fidel Joomun, traveled all the way from Mauritius to personally lead his filly into the winners' enclosure. The ownership partnership includes Messrs V.C. Veeramootoo, M.F. Joomun, M.J. Joomun, and M.N. Joomun. A heartfelt congratulations goes out to them, and as always, the stable deeply appreciates their on-going support.

Miss Shaivi also received a bonus on R100 000 from Blockstock South Africa, a big thank you to them as well.

The stable continues to value and appreciate the support from sponsor - HOLLYWOODBETS
