Castle Corner finally gets his day!
It has been a very long and overdue victory for CASTLE CORNER. After a total of seven 2nds and a few placings, the consistent 3-year-old gelding finally cracked his maiden win and did so with a great turn of foot and a good ride by Diego De Gouviea. His next run will give all connections a good indication of his future now that he will be running in opening company. Even though it has taken a while, he may step up to the task and has had some nice formlines to work with. His


An exciting Stable double!
The day at Turffontein started off with the infamous CASTLE CORNER, a gelding that just does not seem to want to win. However, the owners involved have had the 3 -year-old earn them stakes from seven 2nd's and three 3rd's. Although it was not a feature race, it was equally exciting to see EXPRESSFROMTHEUS come back to winning ways, especially for the horse's favourite jock, Marco van Rensburg. The combination have enjoyed an impeccable strike rate together. His penultimate start was in the Grade 1, Horse Chestnut Stakes, where he unfortunately fluffed his lines with his first run out of the money.
