Gottalottaluv is a run away winner!

GOTTALOTTALUV was well overdue for her next win, having run 2nd four times since her maiden win. Saturday's race played out perfectly being in a handy position and the 2000m seems to be her perfect distance. She is now a two time winner but is getting stronger with age. If she can be handicapped well enough she should be able to stay competitive and continue her consistent form. A very big thank you and well done to Mr Ian van Schalkwyk over 2018, there has been a lot of success, especially from the stable's star, Surcharge. Without the support of all owners, training horses like him would not be possible. We hope that he may fly the countries flag high in Dubai. The stable is also happy to

Savannah King keeps the stable ticking!

SAVANNAH KING added to the stables tally of 3 winners for the month of December so far. He had no weight on his back, enjoys the course and distance and was coming back to some sort of form. All of these favours pointed in his way, giving all the connections a good feeling of him ending up in the winners box again. Well done to the a great group of owners involved, Mr Wayne Jackson, Mark Campbell and Ian van Schalkwyk. He is no star, but with the right races he may have another win or two, hopefully giving the owners some more enjoyment. On the day the stable had 5 runners, all of which caught a place, earned some stakes and kept up the consistency of a great win/place percentage, currently

Ulla gets back to winning ways!

ULLA returned to the minimum trip yesterday in Race 8 at the Vaal where she put up an excellent finish to win going away. This now makes her a 2 time winner from just 7 starts. Being a 3 year-old filly she has plenty of scope for improvement! With some more experience she may go a bit further in the future, but with her current running style she and progression she may win a few races of this distance. A very big congratulations to all the owners involved, Mr Anton Marx, Kevin Hunter, Terry Kung and Mark Campbell. A great combination of supporters in the yard and they deserve all the success they get. We hope that this filly may continue to share further enjoyment going forward in the season

Walter Smoothie wins the Racing Association Handicap!

The 3200 metre Racing Association handicap had a stressful beginning with a false start, this making WALTER SMOOTHIE'S trip even longer. He did however come through with flying colours and putting his name out there as one of Joburg's better stayers. It looked like he found another gear at the finish, something you love to see with a stayer. A very big congratulations and thank you to Mr Vicky Veeramootoo, a relatively new patron to the stable, who appreciate the support. Walter is now a winner of 5 races with 7 places from just 16 starts. With the right races he should add to his win/place tally and hopefully provide some more enjoyment for the owner and stable! Thanking the sponsor once a
